Friends of Nevada County Military is a non-partisan, all volunteer, non-profit organization located in Nevada County, California. Our purpose is to send a strong message of support from our community to deployed and returning troops and their familes by:
    • Sending support packages, phone cards, and letters to deployed troops.
    • Providing support to service men and women re-entering our community after completing military service.
    • Supporting troops who have been hospitalized.
    • Providing a support group for families of service men and women who live in our community.

The group currently has more than 250 members including family members, friends and neighbors of service men and women, veterans of former conflicts, and members of the community who are looking for a way to support our troops. We work closely with the Marine Corps League, the Vietnam Veterans of America and the American Legion.

Our principal challenge is to indentify men and women from our county who are currently serving in the military. If you know anyone in the military and would like him or her to receive support from the group you may download and print the Military & Family Member Information Form, complete and submit the form as indicated, or please contact Terry Robinson, friends@fncm.org, (530)265-8310.

If you are interested in joining "Friends" or finding our more about us, come to one of our meetings. We meet the third Tuesday of every month (except December) at 6:30 PM at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall, 255 South Auburn Street, Grass Valley, or contact Fred Buhler, friends@fncm.org, (530)265-4878.

Friends of Nevada County Military is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization, ID tax number 27-0109188, under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code.
