Adam lived in Smartville with his family before joining the Marines after high school. While at Nevada Union, Adam played defensive end on the Miners football team.

Prior to joining the Marines, Adam worked as a courtesy clerk at SPD Market in Grass Valley.

A service was held in Vermont where his parents reside. Another service was held in Grass Valley on Saturday, August 13, 2005.

The following letter was sent by Adam to Friends of Nevada County Military in April thanking the organization for the support packages received.

Dear Friends of Nevada County Military,

Thank you for the gift packages you guys sent me. I really appreciated the cookies and dental gear. It was really nice of you guys. Well I've been here over a month now and I have 6 months left to go. I'm doing pretty good and I'm in good health. Thank you again.
